Major Upgrade in Progress!

The site was disabled the later part of today for the start of a major upgrade and reconstruction. I finished the first part of the process and will continue to work on the site as time permits. Expect Zilvia.net to have a new layout very soon. We are converting to a Content Management System that will allow us to easily maintain the website and have everything integrated. The days to follow we will implement the CMS and convert the webs content into that system.

Today I upgraded to vBulletin 3.5 as well as converted the Member Rides section to work with vB 3.5.

If you see anything that doesn’t look right or isn’t working please inform me ASAP! Thanks!

Quick Reply is not working for me. Clicking on a quick reply Icon doesn't open up the quick reply box. Stays grayed out.

You have to click the little button next to quote first on the last post in the thread.. then it works.

I have 3.5 on another board and know how it works. Nothing happens when you click the Icon. I went onto another forum and posted just to make sure and it works fine.

When I click edit it takes me to an Advanced Editing page. Doesn't open up a box within the post like on other forums.

This is the new Members Rides. A bit different however. Its the only option we had in order to proceed with the site.

I will update the top menu tonight and install the CMS so the menu will be re done then as well.

Hey Mark, I disabled the 'require click' option, so the box should be white by default now.

Strange, I did the same but it erased my post I had typed in the QR so I reenabled the required click for QR. I guess if this works we will keep it this way.

The Rep System seems to have a bug or two. When I click the scales to Rep someone, it no longer opens a secondary small window. Instead it loads a completely new page. Anyone else experience this?

Im not sure how the old rep system worked so I am unsure as to what secondary window this would be.

It seems to be working, maybe its just differnt than before. I will look into the settings to see if I can adjust anything.

The previous setup was to open a small pop-up and leave the current page alone. Once the rep was entered, the popup closed itself returning you to the original page.
I was unable to find any option for that just now (but I only spent a minute looking).

I like that we have a censored word that nobody will ever use.

Custom built 2U Server 2.8Ghz Xeon with 1 gig Ram Raid setup with 10krpm discs.

Santa might bring Zilvia a 2nd Processor and + 1gig o ram.

I can’t do anything right now with the positioning of the ad, but once someone makes one that will be after the first post or somewhere better we are stuck with this one. Suggestions to the positioning are welcome.

You seem to forget that it takes money to run Zilvia.net. We aren’t getting rich, in fact the opposite. It takes TONS of our time. That being Me, Bob, and our Mods.

Compared to other forums out there, you got it quite good here. I make sure that ads aren’t intrusive or overpowering like some of the other sites. Although I will look into alternatives to the placement of the Google ads.

a problem that i've had on another board that uses the same software as this one with the updated in window editing is that when you edit a post, and go to the advanced editing section to change the title, it changes the title when you view the post, but when you're looking at the forum, the title is still the same.

The current VPicGallery took place of the former Member Rides. The new Gallery is not up and running yet.
