Ok, I don't know what the problem is. I got an s14, 107,000miles all OEM bushings and KYB AGX struts with eibach sportline springs all around. I have the front set to 2 and the back set to 5. I tried setting all to 1 but the car bounces back and forth. I bought this setup thinking that it wouldn't be that bad. Now everytime I hit a ditch, crease in the road, tiny pebble, ant, or beetle i can feel it, its real harsh. Also my steering wheel shakes like crazy everytime I hit a bump. I wonder what coil overs would feel like compared to my ride, I can't imagine it being any worse(bumpier). I think there is someting seriously wrong with my car. Could I need some kind of bushings? I am looking for something that isn't possible on an s14? Anyone got any ideas?

hmm...how long have you been running with the kyb struts and eibach springs? could be blown or pretty worn out.

either what randy says or you're running really low profile tires and/or have a bent rim, tire out of balance, etc. Could be alot of things. Strut mounts being worn out but that would make a loud noise over bumps.

I run Tein springs and kyb gr2's which are currently blown out in the rear (awaiting replacement) and mine is not really bouncy or bumpy at all. It'll dip once then recover over hard bumps.

Before I had coilovers I had AGX and S-techs. The ride was pretty bouncy

I've had the kyb's and springs for alittle more than a year. I bought them at the same time. The tires are stock specs on stock rims. I was reading about bump steer and some people say that if your car is lowered it may result to what I am feeling. Would the sportline springs cause alot of bump steer? I mean people have 240sx lower than mine, how come they don't have a problem?

you might just need an alignment. granted, with the stock arms and links it won't be fully adjusted, but you probably have a problem with your tie rods/tie rod ends if you're complaining about bump steer

If you have stock sway bars check your stabalizer links. But that kind of results more in a sliding/jolting type effect.

any time you lower your car you mess up your bumpsteer. I think it's just the fact you're not used to cars with aftermarket suspension rather than something being really messed up.

If your steering wheel only shakes at a certain speed (50-80mph?), have tire balance checked, it's like $20.

I just got an alignment like 2 months ago. My tie rod ends have a big hole in them, but i can't see this making my car ride like crap. My steering wheel will shake at any speed if I hit a bump. I'm gonna get the tie rod ends fixed then see what happens. Thanks guys

You probably need new struts. my car was like that and thats what the problem was.

i'm going to have to agree with option zero on this one.

since you have stiffer supsension now, you will feel the bumps and grooves in the road much more intimately then you did before.

personally i think the ride is more comfortable. everytime i sit in a luxury car where you cant feel shit on the road it makes me kind of nauseous.

I had the stock suspension on the car and it was still bump. I remember because I was thinking that my struts were blown and that by replacing them with new ones it would make it feel better but it never did. I don't think I explained the steering wheel shaking part good enough. It doesn't shake on a "smooth" road at any speed. However as soon as I hit a bump on that road the steering wheel jerks which ever side that pot hole was on. Thanks guys
