what you can't really tell in that last one is that it looks like someone hit the damn back of the quaterpanel with a sack of walnuts. all sorts of crazy dents/buckeling. and it's not just cosmetic, ther is a couple of extra body lines now. i really wasn't wanting the 270R stripeing. now i have to look into my 500 deductables for getting the shit fixed. oh well i go in monday to get an estimate. that's an awful lot of painting/blending though.

after i rubbed on it with some compound for a while:

i want to find who did it and kill them.

Where do you work? If it's an office-type parking lot, I'd raise hell and find the only cars (suvs most likely) that are high enough to do that damage. If you work at walmart or somewhere public.. that blows.
And insurance won't help much if you have a deductible like mine...

How would you NOT notice that you're dragging the side of your car down someone elses? I could see a scratch for maybe a foot or two but not the whole side of the car =/

Hope you find whodunnit

auctually looking at how the whole thing hit, it pretty mutch has to be a car. the bottom one from a bumper moulding and the upper one from a side view mirror. it it was a SUV or truck the bumper it would have flattened the entire side of my vehicle rather than just putting two "V" dents all down the side of it. and yes i work on a millitairy base, the police said that even if i find the vehicle that paint matches the shit transfered on on mine, and has my paint on his and the correct dammage that it is all circumstantual evidance and that they will do nothing for me. so i guess that's thier way of saying take things into my own hands if/when i find them. idiots that park out out front have to be there for a whole week (shooting range lasts a week) so i have until this next thursday to find them. and lots of time to do exactly that. i will be painstakeingly looking over the parking lot every day this next week. and this guy better hope i don't find him.

oh yeah what's the consinsus? 500 dollar deductable, but looks like over 500 woth of damage to fix, repaint, and blend that entire side.

you know...parking lot accidents, police dont deal with. its pretty gay how you cant get a police report from an accident thats in a parking lot...

i'm on the rifle range

Dunno what your showtime is now that the Miramar range is operational, but we used to get buttloads of 'failure to stop' tickets at that stop sign adjacent to the armory on Miramar Way.
Just FYI, keep an eye out for PMO bubbas.

whoever did it should be court martialled. we don't need guys like that.

so you were hit by a red car?

The top scratch does not look like a car did it.

It's good thing we have insurance companies. But for that type of damage, you just might be able to get a whole new paint job if you wanted.

hopefully, what i am thinking is that if i get a goodly amount out of it, i will just buff the shit out of it, make it look hte best i can, wait a few months until i am back home where my uncle has a body shop , and just spring for a complete paint job. thiking a dark grey metalic, or a light gray metalic with a good pearl would be best for my car.

**edit that was a hell of a mess. need to sober up before trying to type next time.

well after dealing with the insurance, and then buffing on this alot, here is the results:
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/Tenchuuk/IMG_1731.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/Tenchuuk/IMG_1730.jpg

so i am thinking that i will take the insurance 900 or so and use it to buy this:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/Tenchuuk/S14KoukiStream.jpg

then take out all the dents, prep it out and have a place paint it somehting like this color:
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/Tenchuuk/grey.jpg

so what's the opinion? that and i would be driving around with the dent on the side and stock bumpers until mid January, then do everything right in a week. hopefully have my engine swap done before then too. but that depends on if/how long it takes to sue a guy for my money back.
