whats up guys. i have an s14 and am trying to use the craziest offset to achieve that big dish. i had currently ordered a set of ssr sp1's 18x9 +6 front, 18x10.5 +5 rear, which i had used my buddys offset as a reference. my plans are to use brembo's z32 front brake set up with z32 rear brake upgrade and was wondering if this offset would work. any insite if this will work or if a more extreme offset would work without any clearance issues with coilovers or calipers.
p.s. i will be having custom rear
fender flares made to accomadate

That sounds like henry's set up. Yes it will work and clear your brakes. Just get the high disk or medium disk up front.

disk type (high, med, low or super low) determines backspacing which determines big brake clearance. Choose the disk first then match the offset

what do u mean by disk type?
disk type= back pad mounting surface to allow clearance for certain brakes...this also has an effect on lip and dish sizes

is there some type of reference that could help in choosing disk type?

Its like this...
A disk (aka - high disk) = Maximum brake clearance and minimum lip
B disk (aka - medium/mid disk) = Medium brake clearance and medium lip
C disk (aka - low disk) = Minimal brake clearance, maximum lip.
Some wheel companies also offer stuff like super low disk for even more lip, but again, you lose even more brake clearance. For Z32 brakes, you're probably gonna want to run high disk wheels up front.
How much lip do you want for the front and rear? Maybe i can help you out.

i was thinking of running a 2 1/2 - 3 inch lip up front and 5 1/2 - 6 inch lip in the rear

im not sure what kinda dish you are looking for, but here is just an example of an 8" wide +0 offset rim looks like.
hope this helps, even if only to give you an idea of the lip size.
