okay, before anything further is read on this post please read: I have hashed, and rehashed the search field, and to no avail, so please don't flame or say "why don't you try searching," because you'd be wasting time, and it doesn't help one bit. now:does anyone know if Nissan has revised the connectors and or whole engine wiring harness for the 89-90 s13's. To further elaborate, have they switched to a different material inside harness connectors *harness to sensor/switch/injector* that is less prone to corrosion. I mean I absolutely love my s13's, *who doesn't* and they build reliable engines, but wiring, and electricals are hit or miss. I have had enumerous amounts of problems with electricals on my 90 s13. Being that it is a 15 year old car has something to do with it, but I have gone through, and replaced the injector (all 4) , coolant temp , tps harness, o2, and soon have to replace maf harness connectors. The plug from the harness to the sensor corrodes too easily. I have noticed this with every 80's to mid 90's nissan I have worked on. Is it just a failure to have these connectors weatherproofed effectively, or is it the copper material used in these connectors causeing the problem? I use dielectric grease, but this doesn't prevent the corrosion all together. i swear it seems like the corrosion is slowing infecting my entire harness, and it's driving me nuts. Does anyone sell aftermarket connectors. The three prongs going to my maf sensor are now corroded, and I am seriously thinking about just giving nissan a call, and ordering a new engine wiring harness, if they have fixed the problem
