the xs power ones are garbage from what i've seen. on other forums i've seen pics of these turbos actually falling apart because the compressor was held together with glue

Cheap - Fast - Reliable
IF you're cheap and fast, you're not reliable
If your cheap and reliable you're not fast
If youre Fast and Reliable, you're not cheap
Here are some pics of an ebay turbo that a friend of mine purchased just for 'kicks'. 'OEM GARRETT INTERNALS' and the whole spiel...all for 300 shipped!!!
So we got it, and well the pics can do the talking. 'X' cast onto the turbine, old studs in the turbine, and it's painted to boot...YUCK

The No name turbo was setn back and recieved full refund as it was mainly purchased just for comparison. He figured 40 dollars for shipping and restocking fee was worth it to help show others how crappy they are.
You be the judge.

is it just me or does it look like some of the fins are actually bent on the ebay turbo wheel?

I don't see any indication that the fins are bent. I had an XSpower turbo and it lasted 50 miles before the impeller blades hit the compressor inlet. The piece of junk actually RATTLES now its so messed up.
50 miles.

I think for the price, the SSAUTO ones might be decent, not XSpower but the actual SS ones offer a year long warranty.

The SSAC turbos were, at one point, Master Power turbos.
They were displaying XSPOWER turbos in the auctions and sending out Master Powers apparently.
They're Brasilian made clones, but quite a few people with turbo Fords used them with good results.
Not as good of quality as a Garrett, but they were definately usable equipment.
It would appear that SSAC has switched suppliers since then and the product has gotten exponentially shittier.
I think they still use the same pictures in the auctions, but send out unmarked (probably chinese) turbos for the sale.
If you really need a cheapo turbo, buy used, or look for a Master Power from someone other than SSAC.
The SSAC turbos offer a warranty, but I've heard of them taking months to get replacements out.

Better yet
Get a used turbo
rebuild it with your parts of choice
Have practically a brand new turbo.
