I am selling a HID kit for S13s (flip ups). The kit is 7500K, its white with a hint of blue, I bought it from Jeff240SX's group buy a while back. The manufacturer is kaixen.

Only thing you need to purchase is H4 conversion headlights, you can find them on ebay for ~$40, or try those ricer shops that sell everything. Then just buy something like double sided tape for mounting the ballast (there is only one for each side).

This is the only pic I have. They look green but thats just due to the camera settings, like i said before they are more of a white with blue tint.

Only reason I am selling is because I bought 10000K.

Price: $240 Shipped

/\/\/\ what scott said, im very interested, but i wanna see pics of the cutoff as well. i hear if you but HID in H4 housing, you get a lot of scatter and glare.

The cutoff somewhat depends on your housings, it wasn't too bad. Its no retrofit or oem projector with a perfect line. But there is a cutoff line, small amounts of glare around the outside of each headlight, but nothing majorly bright. There are hotspots too, but not a rediculous amount.. Only other pic I could find, you can see the hotspots, but can't really tell where the cutoff line is because my garage is up an incline.

If I can get my friends camera this weekend I will try to get some pics of the cutoff.

Ya the coloring is wierd, compared to my 10000K they look yellow, but once next to someone with 6000K they look blue, our eyes play tricks on us.

dorifito, the cut off isn't from the HID but from the housing

the best you can do is get rabrig, hella, bosch housing which will definately be better than the ebay ones

aftermarket market has been around for a while and the manufactuer technique is already at maturity. They are comparable to OEM spec but without hid specific housing (bmw/audi projector for instance, they're usually made by hella. Or reflector type like lexus gs430, also hid beam specific) you can't get the good, clean cut off

I know pdm racing sells bosch for about 80$ or something, that's always avaialble

sometimes you get lucky and you'll find raybrig on eba that's very rare

most human's are more sensitive to blue. However in hid, the color temperature (3500k~12000k) is a measurement of kelvin. 3500 and bellow will probaly be redish, 4500 probably yelloish, 5500 white, 6000+ blue, 8000+ purple, 10500+ green.

The further and lower you go up on the color spectrum, the more visibility you're going to lose. The equalibrium is around 5000k (white). Which is why OEM spec hid are usualy around 4500~ 6000k

wow thanks for the information that i already knew.... :squintd: kiddynamite said his 7500's were mostly white with a tint of blue... I was trying to say the color of 7500k should have more of a blue tint.

and i was also trying to say how my eyes have adjusted on the light my HID's emit. I have the same brand HID kit as kid but my temp is 6000, and now they look white to me. i remember when i installed them, they were white with a tint of blue... and all my friends or people who see my car now say that i have blue lights...

Mine probably also look white because my friend has 8000Ks in projectors and his are blue. My friends with HIDs say they are white, those without say they are blue...

They look blue compared to regular lights.
