I just purchased a autocrap tach cause I'm running out of time before buttonwillow. Anyway I was just wondeing if I can hook it up to the ECU signal on a SR20 red top? I was reading this (http://autometer.com/tech_faq_answer.aspx?sid=3&qid=13) and I came to the conclusion that I may not be able to do it without some type of module or something. Has anyone installed an aftermarket tach with the SR20 COP system via the ECU signal? The other thing I was thinking was that the KA24DE has a distributer, and the tach from that motor will work with the SR20. I need this figured out soon or its off to the track with no tach.

I think you can tap the CAS wire for the tach signal.
Otherwise KA24DE tach does work with SR20DET. That's common knowledge.

You don't need any crazy module. Hook it up to the cas. I think its a white or a red wire. I have a piece of crap tach from ebay laying around my garage and decided to hook that up until I have money for a dohc cluster. Works just fine.

cool cool. I didnt even try. The reason I was trying to get that working is becuase I didnt have a tach at all. I have the JDM cluster, but it wasnt working. I just wired up the tach directally to those screws. Works fine, and it will be ok for the event. Thanks guys.
