Got a question for you guys with short shifters. I just put in a B&M replica shifter off Ebay. Throws feels great, tight and short, but when I put it in 1st, 3rd, or 5th the shifter will hit the bezel surrounding the shifter. So I was curious if you guys with real B&M's and other shifters also experienced something similar. Obviously I don't expect the B&M to have this sort of clearance issue, but are their shifters placed really close to the front too?
BTW, this is the shifter I bought and the arrow points to where it hits the bezel.

Is the B&M shifter placed more forward than stock at all?

well, it has been two years since i've had the old one in use, but i'm pretty sure it's not any further forward than stock.

Figured out the problem... the shifter was sent to me backwards and I installed it that way. It's fixed now and all is well. =)

no problems with the B&M other than it doesn't want to go into second when leaving first at 6000+ rpms. (gear oil may fix that)
