I got a sr fuel pump with my sr clip. Does anyone know how much if any better than the KA pump it is. I seached and cant find anything. I'm just wondering if it is safe to raise the boost with it on my otherwise stock SR. Does anyone know how much power it can support? Yeah sure i can get a walboro cheap, but if this will work fine with the stock fuel system i'd like to kep it until I upgrade the turbo. Does anyone have the FACTS? :-/

how much do you plan on upping the boost?
The stock SR pump is better but does not flow as much as a walbro (I cant find exact flow ratings right now)
You must also remember that the injectors on a stock SR will not support a lot of boost increase before going static

I'd go with a Walbro since it's cheap and gauranteed. A used SR pump could be in worse condition than your OE pump.

you have a point but i'm still curious how good the SR pump is when it is working properly

Don't risk it bro. Just purchase a new upgraded pump. Let say it does work, you never know when that thing might just take a crap.
Then it will be a whole other story and money. Do it once and do it right.
Just looking out for you.

12PSI of Boost with stock SR Pump...I wouldnt reccomend that. Go Walbro, get 550's, and FPR, a way to tune it..cheap way is the SAFC II like I have....I was going 11 PSI on my Stock Pump, but I wouldnt reccoment going any higher without the mods aI listed and a wideband and EGT Guage to make sure your in the box

you think I would max out the stock injectors even at 12psi? Dont get me wrong I'm all about doing this right. I'm just trying to learn as much as i can about what I got and what I can do with it, before I go the next step. I have a FMIC waiting to be installed and Im going to install all the proper gauges and monitoring tools, before I up the boost. I really dont intend to blow anything up. Thanks guys, and any other input is welcomed

12psi is the highest I'd go too. The turbo can push air up to 14psi freely, but you're reaching most of your limitations at that point.

The duty cycle of your injectors is very near max at 12 PSI on 370CC Injectors...I know..at 3,500/3,800 RPM and 12 PSI your injectors are prolly maxed
