i just got my ca18det today and i took a look at the downpipe. i heard a rumor that the one on there will not clear the steering column. is this true? do i need to get a modded downpipe or something? or will it work. i dont feel like finding out when the things on my lift and about to go in. thanks guys.

If you use the CA O2 housing, you need to either A.) Use a CA specific downpipe or B.)Use an SR downpipe but have the flange cut, rotated, and welded back on. Your other option is to buy an SR O2 housing and use an SR specific downpipe.

^ what he said. Use his third option. Get a SR 02 housing and get a SR downpipe.

Yeah I cut the flange on my buddies SR downpipe and rotated it then welded it up so it would fit on his CA18 swap. It's easy as hell and SR downpipes are a dime a dozen. The CA18 swap is all and all a pretty easy swap IMO, good choice.

could use a SR one, or you can do what i did and just buy a turbo back from SS Auto Chrome, fits up nice, one of the hangers is not aligned right but even though it bolts right up
