Hey guys I tried searching on here and a few other sites regarding my question and I found an answer to it but I'd just like to confirm it with anyone that would have knowledge about doing the RB swaps.
I found that someone that has done this swap had to have a custom dp made, I also found that Phase2 has a "S13/S14 with RB25DET" downpipe that they sell but I'm not sure if it would work for the RB20 which I'm almost positive it would but I already e-mailed them for the answer to that question.
Would an SR20DET downpipe work? or a RB downpipe made for the R32 work?
Help me out guys! Thanks in advance!

No you would have to cut the flange off where it meets the 02 housing. Spin it to match and rewild it. The downpipe that they sell I think is Mckinneys and it will work with your RB20 too.

^??
With the rb20's there are two different types as far as down pipe clearence. The older rb20 that says "rb20" on the timing belt cover, and the newer one that does not say anything on the timing belt cover. The older version DP clears the steering shaft, but the newer version dose not unless you have mounts and/or put some lovin to it with the ziz-wheel.

Mine cleared but I'm running the Mckinney mounts on my later year Rb20.

The ones I had, they all worked with stock DP, but I had to really tinker with the newer rb20 dp to make it work. I was using rb20 subframe on most of mine, but with mounts it moves it back, which is good for DP clearence, but then it moves it down, which is bad for DP clearence. So overall the issue with mounts or no mounts stays the same and you end up tinkering with the newer rb20 dp either way to make it work.

Well I'm using the R32 subframe so will the downpipe still work? Since the McKinney mounts bring the engine down and back will this still work for me? I don't want to spend the money to tow the car to the muffler shop to have them make one and since I'm new here in Las Vegas I don't know of a place that can make me a 3" Mandrel bend DP.
Thanks for the help guys I really appreciate it!
EDIT: Oh I forgot to add that I have the RB that Says RB20 on the timing cover.

Well I called Mckinney Motorsport and spoke to someone there and he said that their downpipe should work but he's wasn't 100% sure, he says I might have issues with it hitting the bottom of the car since the downpipe was made to work with their motor mount kit which we all know brings the motor back and lower in the engine bay. He also told me that he's had people purchase the DP and use it w/o their kit and he hasn't had any returns so does that mean it'll work?
Come on now guys don't give up on me now...........

the kit is right now introductory priced at $1000. I can sell you the downpipe seperately for $375.

Oh I didn't see that it was a 1 piece turbo dump/downpipe combo but how sure are you that it's gonna work with the R32 crossmember mounted swap?
Would I have to modify my exhaust system since the dp will be a few inches back?
To tell you the truth though I don't like that price at all.........I'd rather have one custom made just won't be bling bling.

The downpipe is designed to bolt up to s13 and s14 exhaust in stock locations. This has been tested on both S13's and S14's. Our kit utiltizes a GT ST R33 crossmember that you either get in your clip or you can buy from us. Our Downpipe is also 3 inch all the way through mandrel bent.
I cannot gurantee its going to work for you, seeing as it was designed specifically with the RB25 in mind. If you buy one test fit and it does not work we would refund with a restocking fee.
Oh ya and its not like the competitors downpipe has any real price difference from ours. Last time I looked it costed just about the same.
I am just putting it out there as a possible alternative for you.

So this DP was designed to work with the skyline crossmember swaps? As far as RB20/RB25 go I'm about 99% sure the exhaust location is the same but my concern is that if it's going to work w/o your motor mount kit? were the S13 & S14 outfitted with this dp utilizing your kit or just with the skyline crossmember? Thanks for the help Drift Freaq!
