1995 240sx SE
VIN: JN1AS44D6SW010067
5 speed
No VLSD or ABS
Bone stock except for SPL subframe spacers and a universal muffler
sunroof
ac works great
odometer shows 158k, title says 199k - PO said they made a mistake when he got it titled and never fixed it. Either way it's got some miles on it and in Texas once it hits ten years it doesn't matter anyway, it will just say exempt on the title. It is a clean title though.
PO also swapped in an 70k motor when the headgasket on the old one went about 10k ago. Figure the motor has 80k or so on it. Runs like a champ, pulls very well, idles smooth. I drove it back from Tupelo MS 14 hours or so with absolutely no problems
Exterior is rough. Clearcoat on rear pass quarter is peeling, there is also a sliht scrape that goes onto the bumper, roof is sunfaded, hood and drivers front fender are peeling as well. Hood has a lot of rock chips as well on teh leading edge. Pretty sure these parts were replaced and repainted a few years ago which why they are peeling now. Overall though besides nasty paint, the body is fairly straight minus the small scrape and your average door dings, rust free. Underneath the car is pretty much stock and unmolested looking. Doesn't look like anyone ever rested the frame rails on a jackstand or tried to jack it up there. it's all straight underneath. I put in some SPL subframe spacers. It could use front tension rod bushings for sure. Like I said all original suspension with some miles on it, so the typical stuff. That being said it does drive pretty smooth and straight even though it could use some refreshing.
The car will be sold with no radio or speakers in it, factory amps are bypassed, fender mount power antenna was broken so I removed it.
rear spoiler
two good tires, two tires have some tread but could be replaced soon
front seats are leather from a junkyard car the PO put in. They are dried up and the pass one is falling apart.
So all in all a rough looking car paint wise but straight and runs great. I just did new plugs, cap and rotor, O2 sensor and a new TPS sensor to get my gas mileage back on track, car pulls hard. Throws a code off and on for the neutral safety switch, doesn't effect how the car runs just makes the check engine light come on. I reset it and it stays away for a few hundred miles then gets triggered again. Like I said though, doesn't affect how the car runs or drives just triggers the light and throws that code 103.
I think this is the perfect car for a daily driver/drifter/autox car. You can just drive it like I planned on doing and not worry about people really messing with it, if you beat it up a bit you wouldn't be too upset. I've put a lot of labor into this car to clean it up a lot inside and out and get it running right for daily use.
Asking $3500
Will consider all serious cash in hand offers on this car, I need to sell it quick. Come pick it up in Houston and drive it home. Runs great, idles smooth at 700 rpms just like it should.
