I SEARCHED!! ... alright now that that is out of the way...

I'm in the middle of an SR20 redtop swap in to a 1991 240sx. I have the entire front clip so there shouldn't be anything I'm missing. The car is already running but i have minor issues to work out.

My questions are as follows:

- I wired the SR/KA harness according to the Heavythrottle FAQ. On the Stock KA harness, there are 2 plugs by the passenger side headlight, on the SR harness, there are three. I cut the 3 plugs off the SR harness, and wired them to the 2 KA plugs. I did this directly according to the FAQ. I am left with 6 wires that weren't mentioned in the FAQ, what are these for, and should i leave them disconnected?

- I purchased the entire front clip, so i used the JDM s13 radiator. My question is: Why wasn't there a fan on the radiator? The stock 240sx fan doesn't seem to fit on the JDM fan shroud/radiator. And am i supposed to use the JDM fan shroud? I just want to verify how to properly set up this cooling system so i don't over heat. Am i supposed to just leave the jdm fan shroud off and buy an aftermarket fan or what?

- Last question: I wired the SR20 ECU harness to the stock 240sx dash harness. Again, i did this according to the heavy throttle FAQ and there are around 6 wires left over. According to them, this is for the check engine light? Just verifying.

Put your heads together!! :ughug:

The only one I can answer is about the radiator fan shroud...yes, use the JDM one.

Ok kool. One more problem, there's a stupid little condencer in the way so the SR20 fan shroud doesn't fit right, do i need to trim the shroud or something? Thanx!

Well if trimming will make it fit...... then maybe it should be trimmed? lol

I'm wondering if there's another way (possibly relocate the condensor?) because i'm afraid trimming off the side of the shroud would destory the essence of the shroud; which is to help the fan suck in air.
