Hey there people.. I have an SR20DET redtop motor for sale, no tranny/ecu/wiring harness. The motor's cylinder #3 has low compression.. 60 or under? and the rest are up in the 150-160 area I believe I was told. There are stock injectors on it, and the turbo is said to be ball bearing, and has an a/r80?
The pictures of the motor will be posted up probably tomorrow hopefully if I can get a chance, but this motor is great for a buildup with no downtime! I was told that with a new piston and/or piston ring, headgasket, and basic rebuild kit, this motor would be up and running fine. You could always just buy it, build it up, and not have downtime for your car. You won't need to go and buy a full SR and spend money for parts that you'll swap out anyways. Please make offers.
PRICE HAS BEEN DROPPED! $550.
SOLD! :)
Pictures are now available!

scir16v - He's not too sure how much he wants for it right now, because in it's current condition, he's not too sure about how much it's actually worth at the very moment.
bjorkluv - I believe he was running about 10-12 lbs? How much boost are you running on your car/size injectors?

Could be a reason, but I don't know. My knowledge about SR's are quite limited, or turbo for a fact. I'm located in the Moreno Valley/Perris area (which is in Riverside county).

i was boosting 21 PSI with a modded ecu and stock injectors worked fine for me for over a year then the gt28 blew out and i had to go back to stock t25 and ecu.
i got 1000 in my pocket, its a low ball and he can put a stock turbo if he wants.
i need a cheap sr.

I'll let him know your price. Where are you located by the way, CA or Hawaii? Also, I believe that he sold the stock turbo already too, so that's the only turbo available at the moment.

I have an S14 T28 on my SR. With a T28 and 370's I wouldnt go above .8 BAR
With 550's you can safely go 1.0 Bar. With a Good Head Gasket, 255 Fuel Pump, FPR set at 3 BAR, and 550's you can safely run 1.1 Bar all day (Some run 1.2 but I wouldnt). Here I will translate the numbers I used for you:
BAR PSI
0.8 11.6
1.0 14.5
1.1 16.0
1.2 17.4
3.0 43.5

Thank you very much for clerifying for me bjorkluv. The SR is now mine, but at my friend's house still, so everything will be through me now. [We did a sort of trade for those wondering.] Anyhow, the valve cover and cams are currently off because my friend decided to start taking the motor apart to check out the pistons/headgasket. I started researching about T28 turbo's, and I looked at the one on the motor, but I'm still not sure which one it is. It does not have that 'divider' that people speak about with S15 turbos, but the A/R is indeed 80, but it doesn't say whether it is 1-1 or 1-2. Let me know if you guys have questions, and if interested, make offers! Local pick-up is recommended.
well the divider is only on spec-r models. s14 and s15 both run somewhat the same turbo. 1-2 means s15, 1-1 means s14. although i've seen some s14 turbos with 1-2. it's too hard to tell without reading the plaqe on the turbo itself.
91F00 = s15 btw.

Yeah I'm not sure, never ran an sr or t25/t28 turbo, so hopefully if I can get pictures of it tomorrow, I'll post em up and you guys can decide what it is.

I think it's a T25 and the guy lied (I don't know about t25/t28's, so I wouldn't know when I picked it up). He just told me that it was the "newer turbo", and not the regular stock sr20det turbo. I guess it's a tad bit bigger? I could have swore t25's on redtop's had an AR .60 compressor though.. Anyhow, my buddy showed me a picture of his turbo, and it's exactly like mine... here it is..

just wondering if you know whats wrong with the motor? blown headgasket?

The guy that sold the motor to my buddy (friend then gave it to me) said that there was low compression on cylinder #3, so said that it'd probably need a new ring/piston. I checked some of the oil that's still in there, and it doesn't look 'milky' like people say it would if the headgasket was blown.

It's to bad about that turbo. It's deffinitely not an S15 turbo. One big thing that gives it away is the bolt pattern for the intake for the compressor housing. T25's are located straight up and down, 12 and 6 o'clock. The bolt pattern on the T28's are slightly different, 2 and 8 o'clock. Enough to not make T28's a direct bolt in on s13 motors. New intake and hot piping would have to be fabbed up.
