Hey guys, well i adjusted my idle last night, and since then, it seems that my car is slower. Like in 2nd gear, i have to drive the car to 4500 RPM's to go 40mph. And i know that it pulled better a few days ago, before i adjusted the idle. Can someone help me out... It's got all of the usual suspects of these 2 problems, i changed the plugs, wires, cleaned the filter, no aiv, cleaned the TB, fuel filter. It's got me stumped, and i cant seem to get it back to how it was before, even if i mess around with the idle. BTW, which one of these plugs is the TPS, to make sure i unplugged the right one when i set the idle... Is it 1 or 2...

i think its #2

should be real easy to tell

it plugs into a wire that comes straight out of area by the throttle plate

you also know you got the right one if you unplug the tps with the car on and the idle surges and then settles

actually lol they both made the idle fluctuate. I also tried resetting the ECU, but its still really sluggish. I've checked for leaks in the intake and everything. I just cant seem to get it to work...

Well, I did a few things to help diagnose the problem, I checked the ECU for any codes, and all that was there was code 55, which im pretty sure means everything is fine, then i took the car up to Advanced auto parts, and had them check the alternator, and battery, and both checked out fine. I'm officially stumped and really need to figure out what the problem is...

how did you adjust the idle before the problem started?

well, i unplugged the TPS, and then i turned the screw, that i thought was the idle adjustment screw, but after looking at the FSM, im not sure if it was the FICD or whatever screw, because there is a screw, and then right above it, there is a plastic looking round cap thing. But the screw is in as far as it goes, and it's still idling high, and the performance still sucks...

K & N Air Filter Oil will mess up the MAF sensor. It makes sense.
