what motor? For an SR, just take everything out from the Intake back and you will have plenty of room...Here is a pic from my car domain site when I put my new Mani in last year:

You can see that there is plenty of room. You ust have to take off the heat shields, the IAV (EGR Type unit), the catch can, and intake hoses, Crankase Breathers, etc etc...as for getting the Manifold off, you will need to take your time on a lot of the bolts..You will have to use open end wrenches instead of a ratchet on a lot of the bolts. You will only be able to loosen/tighten some of the bolts like a 3mm crank at a time due to limited space, but take your time. Make sure the night before or a few hours before, you soak all the bolts in PB Blaster. Make sure you use new bolts when installing your new Manifold, make sure you use anti seize on your new bolts so they will come off easier next time... hope this helps.

PB Blaster is like WD40...you can buy it at any auto store:
http://www.pbblaster.com/
The bolts are standard Nissan Header/Manifold Bolts....Some should come with your new Manifold, if not hit up a Nissan Auto Parts store or Local Tuner SHop....I can get them here at almost any performance shop so I would guess the same would be for the states...they are 14mm IIRC, I would have to go out and check..

the nuts from manifold to engine are 14mm the ones from turbo to manifold are 13mm

Dude, if you don't know what PB Blaster is... then... perhaps you should pay someone else to install this manifold for you.

With the MR headers I have, the lines are still ok, the line running to the back of the block will be fine, just heading from the crank case to the intake... you could always setup a catch can in there too

This is the most recent PIC since Head Gasket, all new Vacuum Lines and T28 Install. You can see that I run one breather to the Catch can (clear one), the other back down into the Block (red one)....I do not run a catch can line back to the intake..I closed the line off on the intake and run the other end of the catch can open. Please, I do not want to hear someone on here tell me that I should not run one end of the catch can open and I am losing HP's I will PWN any comments like that..it has come up before..running the open end line of a catch can to the atmosphere is good, after I ran the catch can and installed the Manifold I had the APEXi shop check my use of breather lines and they said my set up was the best for breathing...any way here is a pic for reference:

any other questions are welcomed..

interesting, and just what i was looking for, thank you sir. When you say its the best way for it to breathe, in what aspects is that better than the stock design? I ask because I'm about to redo my lines on my SR20DE converted turbo.

Okay the stock set up will send a line from the stock catch can back to your intake, even if you do this with an aftermarket catch can..some blow by makes it through the can and will go into your intake then to compressor, then to intercooler, you will eventually start gunking up...some argue that you lose HP when running the catch can open, some say you will be running lean, I have no idea where the hell the come up with this since any air in the motor at that point is metered....The race set up catch can, surge tank style for the SR, run one line to the catch can and the catch can itself has a set of holes on the end to breath...never going back to the intake...you can check silviasichigo's motor a buddy of mine here in Okinawa who is also on zilvia, his is a race set up catch can for excess of 400 HP's...anyway if you wanna keep crap out of your compressor and intercooler you can run one line to the catch can and leave the end open..your engine will breath fine, even better than to the intake..it is not a vacuum issue.

that seems to make sense. I read that unmetered air thing tonight actually and I thought the same thing you just wrote... it would actually already be air thats accounted for in the system.

funny did you read that on the 240 forum? cause my car is the one the original poster used as an example....I didnt even join the forum cause I hate flame battles....silviasichigo is on the forum and spoke up on the subject...there is a guy on the SR20 Forum that said connecting the catch can breather to the intake yields 20 more HP...yeah okay...I am waiting on 550CC injectors now and after that should be passed the 300 mark :fruit:
