I just got my head back from the machine shop where I had a mild port / polish of the bowls, crower springs / retainers, new valve guides / seals installed. I am measuring the shims and guides with the plate and dial indicator measuing set up. My exhaust 3 and 4 shim and guide clearances are messed up. Exhaust 4 has a new guide and my measurments are indicating I need a .132in shim which nissan does not make and the exhaust 3 is measuring out to require a .109in shim which nissan does not make. I am using HKS 264 Step 2's for both intake and exhuast. If I get some custom Tomei shims from AEBS am I going to have any problems running these cams? I've read where some people are having some issues of the exhaust valves being slightly open with these cams when they are supposed to be closed due to shim / guide size. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
