I'm just gauging interest in the car. I don't want to sell it, but it may be a better choice to let it go and use the money toward tuition for next semester (law school is not cheap :D). So, make me an offer...
This car is one of TWO in the US (as far as I know), and the only one legalized. 100% legal, registered and smogs in California as a 1983 Nissan Skyline RS. It has been in the US for almost two decades and has a clear California title. It has just come back from filming (Fast and Furious 3 extra car)
Engine:
FJ20ET - Nissan's first (and best) 4-cyl DOHC (don't let the engine nomenclature fool you, it's a DOHC)
The T3 turbo is on its way out, so it may need a $300 rebuild at a local shop - the car still runs just fine (but doesn't get to full boost)
5-speed
Fully CA Smog compliant
156k kilometers, so about 96,000 miles
Suspension:
kg/mm springs
KYB shocks
Brakes:
recently replaced front rotors/pads and rear pads
Wheels:
15x7 +0 meshies
Boxes of parts, including spare head gaskets and other randomness, are included.
Insurance is very cheap as well, since this is a collector car. My premium is $300/year for full-coverage with Hagerty Collector Car Insurance.
Trade + Cash possible if you have something interesting (RHD Mini with a decent-cc engine, Triumph Dolomite Sprint, etc.), since I would prefer not to be stuck without in interesting weekend car :D.
Right now, offers have hit $11k on Craigslist (but we all know how dependable that place is ;)...
