well if its out of a hardbody thats 96 and up I would hazard a guess it would be OBDII compliant. Though the best way to find out is to call your local smog guy. They would know for sure.
Of course, I do know that SOHC KA's in trucks, the fuel delivery systems were different from our cars. I.E. throttle body injection as opposed to direct manifold fuel injection. I am not sure about the DOHC KA's in the trucks though I think Nissan did stay with a throttle body type injection for them as well.

just swap both manifolds and all accessories, you'll be fine - just like picking up a new longblock.

What year is it ? Late trucks like 01 Fronter use KA's with Single row chain like Altima ( i think they switched in like 98) so i think this is a benefit and from what i can remeber they are quiter. so like mrmephistopheles said swap both manifolds and you're good to go... in fact now that i think about it intake should work just fine only the exhaust woudl need to be done to make sure exhasut ligns up.

to answer Al. its a 99 and the intake is not the same so it was taken off
hers the new probelem. turns out this was from an a/t. and we have no place to mount the starter. where the block should extend out to the right its empty.
anyone have a clue? is this the same way auto 240 blocks look?

no its not . .. engine i put i built for my s14 was originaly a 96 auto.
you could make a spacer same thickness as that piece that woudl stick out and then run both starter bolts all teh way through teh tranny with nut on the end...just a thought.

well then the tranny wont be flush to the block.

yes it will....spacer will not be in the middle of the block and tranny it will be between trans and starter . bolt the tranny to the block only then bolt the starter and spacer to the tranny.
Edit:
here look. spacer will only be in one spot where that the starter mounting bracket is missing . i know its confusing but i think it will work as long as mashine shope can make it proper thickness and shape.

Truck KA blocks are rear sump (truck oil pan wont have clearance on the 240sx), and also the truck mounts are offset as well as the transmission. I think the transmission is 11 inches longer on the frontier trucks than the 240sx.
