Alrighty guys...I have my 92 S13 w/ a redtop in it. I checked so much shit and couldnt find anything. I then checked to see if I was , " throwing codes." I am in fact throwing a code and the code is shfiffty five..lol. nah, but really its fifty five. For those of you that dont know what it means it is defined as, " Other Malfunction. CONSULT Terminal Required" If anyone can help me out with this, please do. I really need my baby to be up and running. Thanks a lot guys, you've been great help before :D
p.s. the symptoms are bogging, 1800 rpm idle, jumpy idle (at times), Practically half the power it should be putting out...did I mention that it bogs? :goyou:

code 55 is No Malfunction. did you read the codes right? all the error codes are in the sr faq's

Are you sure? Cuz I went to 240sx forums and got the codes from there...they have from 11 to 128. let me check here for the fifty fifth code...but I still wouldnt think that it means no malfunction because there is definently something wrong w/ my engine

I'm sure.
55 = everything is OK.
You probably have a vacuum/boost leak.

I got a shop take care of my boost leaks. Vacuums, well...I dunno bout that. I should have them looked at but there arent any shops here. If anything I would need to do it on my one. Where are the vacuums located? Oh, btw, grounds are fine.

Thanks Echo, but its an SR. I have seen the CA's manual and no help from that. I dont know if I should just replace all the intercooler piping by just upgrading to an FMIC. Some guy here put up a thread about custom FMIC piping. Do you think hes reliable? I only ask because people over forums tend to "hustle" a lot. Oh btw, I went to another site to find Codes and 55 turned out to be the one that says, " Other Malfunction." Im not saying that I dont trust you guys, its just I want whats right for it and if I have two reputable places telling me two different things, i dont know what to think soooo, i just emailed Heavy Throttle :D. BTW, I think my turbo is going out because its making loud, fast, ticking noise. Shaft play maybe>? I dont know but it sounds like a backfire once it comes out of the exhaust

240sx forums and some other one, i dunno but heavy throttle told me what you guys did...So im going w/ you guys. I guess I just have a badass boost/vacuum leak... the turbo also sounds like its going :/ . I dunno...Ill update you guys with what happens...i think i'm just gonna upgrade to FMIC cuz the shop that did my pipes did them custom and wow, do they suck balls. so we'll see how that goes. but for now, I need to find a shell. S13 hatch. if you know n e one please tell me...

code 55 means, if your checking codes because something is wrong..... keep looking.

Keep looking as in keep running for codes? I think it might be a vacuum or boost leak. I dont see what else it could be.

Keep looking as in whatever the problem is it's not detectable by the ECU. Yeah like everyone said check out the vaccum system.

Sweet signature bro. oh...the vacuums,...is there a layout of where they're all out? the grounding system as well? it would help a lot. Im new to the SR. Im thinking of just going to a FMIC to eliminate the chance of a boost leak.
