95-98 240sx Models

I am interested in a 240 sx and the 95-98s are what im most likely considering. Im not sure what the models are but i wanna know which one is best performance wise. Also i would like to know the difference between the KA, SR20DE, and SR20DET engines and which model comes with which.

Performance wise i'd say they are all around the same. Looks wise, i'd say 97-98 are nicer than 95-96

Differences in the engines....
KA24DE - an american engine that all 95-98 240sx come with.
SR20DET - a japanese engine that is used in japanese Sylvias (aka 240sx in US). The T at the end means it's a turbo. Outlawed an US and will not pass inspection in CA.
SR20DE - same thing without the turbo... has some applications in US (like 200sx SE-R iirc... but it's a fwd, so doesn't really fit our cars).

the 95-96 have a totaly different front end and rear tail light are different. The 95-96 have a chrome badge on the rear lights and the 97-98 have gunmetal bage that is embeded in the plastic in the middle of the rear lights.The 97-98 are harder to find in a five speed and ino look alot better then the 95-96.The difference of the 95-96 and 97-98 id the hood,fenders,bumper,lights,and grill and the rear tail lights.IF you want to see a 97 which looks like the 98 check out my home page by clicking the link on the bottom.

The S14 is a very nice car whether you get the a(fter) or the b(efore). &nbsp;I have a 96 and I wouldn't trade it for a 97-98, cuz their check engine lights come on if you have your hand out the window when you start it &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

ok, is there a difference in the electronics of the S14b and S14a's? &nbsp;I ask because I was looking at the new stillen catalogue and only saw ECU upgrades for the 95-96, not the 97-98? &nbsp;I'm also in the market for an S14, and yes I know that upgrading to a SR will yeild better gains but I just want to know what that difference in ECU's would be.... &nbsp;
