*Copy and pasted from 240sxforums.com beucase I'm not getting awnsers there*

I bought a 90 240 shell and I'm putting a 92 KADE 11:1 compresson in it. We have the engine in and we got it to start last night. Ran good. We only ran it for about 20 seconds total. Not everything is hook up yet as far as vacuum lines and such.

First, I dont have a knock sensor on the engine. I looked for it (and yes I know where it is at) and their is just a hole and nothing coming out of it. I'm pretty sure the ECU has a "safety" mode when it sees it doesn't have a knock reading. Now from my understanding this will make the car feel really slugish. Is this right? Next is where can I buy a knock sensor?

Second, their are coolant lines for the throttle body. I see the hard pipes coming out under the throttle body. I know two of them are coolant lines. My problem is I can figure out where in the world you put those into. Or I should say where in feed and return lines are for them. The FSM say that they are 2 PAIRC lines and 2 Canister lines (I'm guessing Carbon Caniater). I read threads about removing the TB coolant lines and right where everyone says the coolant lines are, are where the PAIR and Canister lines are. So I need some help here. I need to know what vacuum line goes where since the AIV is removed that sorta mess' me up on the lines and trying to firure everything. Does anyone have pics of the coolant and vacuum lines that I can work off of? If I can see it I think I'll know where it goes.

BTW, I'm pretty sure the PAIRC is removed and as I stated before the AIV is removed. But isn't the PAIRC on the AIV?

yes ecu will edit* retard timing if no signal from KS or bad KS, basically "safety". you can get one from kragen/ partsamerica.com/ or ebay for around 100$ or less

retard.

(that is, the ECU will retard timing if it detects a knock sensor fault, or lack thereof.)

If you so chose, you could eliminate the coolant loop in the TB (it's for emissions anyway).
There's a big difference in diameter of vacuum lines and coolant lines. You'll be able to finger it out.

My question with the coolant lines are where do I run them too. I know where the TB coolant lines are. My question was where the other end of it? Do they run stright to the radiator? Off the block some where or what?

TB coolant lines come off the manifold, there's a nipple coming off the main inlet that drops down to the TB, then back through a loop on the plenum and finally into the lower heater pipe, just behind the oil filter.

Vacuum lines, all you need if FPR and brake booster. Cap everything else.
