so I have a aging ka24de in my 93 s13 with 150,000 miles...
I'm coming from the Honda world so 150k is usually asking for trouble when adding boost. Just curious if any of you guys are running high mileage boost setups.
another question.. if the motor does have too many miles.. would you consider buying another ka24de and boosting it, or getting an sr20det?
thanks guys.. sorry for the noob questions

Sorry for the harsh response, but SEARCH. This has been covered NUMEROUS times.
To be nice, mileage isn't the main concern here. It's the compression of the cylinders. Do a pressure test and a leak down test. If the numbers are within spec, it's a good candidate to boost.
Go KA-T.

fix up all the existing problems before doing any boosting applications...
do you have a leak on your KA? if so, no boost yet...
