so far, i've searched left and right.
i've only found like four things to help reduce understear.
1) lsd/wedlocd stuff, but i'm not worried about that.
2) remove front strut bar (i don't have one)
3) wider front tyres and lower profile with wider rim size.. yadi ya
4) front and read toe in
5) basic allignment options
ok, i ment 5.
are those seriously the only things you can do?
every search i've made has only turned up those tips.
nothing much on suspension besides the sway bar.
right now i've got a '91 Coupe with KYB AGX's and eibach sportline springs, tanabe spacers/collars, and falken ziexs. fronts aren't in the best of condition.

Those tires suck. The biggest mod you can do for your car is tires. Get some R-Compounds for the front. I have a very similar set up to yours.

cool, so those are really the only things you can do huh?
yeah, i don't like those tyres. i guess for the back they would be ok right?
i mean... if i drift them who cares how grippy they would be?
and by "fattie" how fattie do you mean?
thanks all.

drifting isn't about purposely not having grip; it's about having grip and purposely breaking it...
Get better tires, a Kumho MX or a Hankook RS Z212 ..cheap with many sizes, do not stagger much if at all front/rear sizing.
Remember what understeer is, conceptually: When the front end has less traction or loses traction before the rear.
The Solution?
Add grip in front or reduce grip in back.
The stiffer end of the car loses grip first, which is why a stiffer rear end (Sway bar, stiffer coilover setting, strut bar) will make the rear come out first; and why a stiffer from will make the front plow.
I'm assuming you're a pretty novice driver, so before investing in massive modifications to make an instant-spinout type car, i'd just go with better tires (and if need be, wheels), and drive more to build your skill at breaking them loose. Drifting isn't all power-over, afterall...but hey, i dont know anything about drifting.

on entry yes, but with some throttle/weight dist. you can get it to oversteer very nicely.
get a rear sway/strut/cpillar bar, preferable all of the above. better tires. lower tire pressure in the front, higher in the rear. basically make it so the rear is as stiff as possible, that way it will be easier to oversteer and get the rear to break traction.
i noticed a huge difference once i made a c-pillar bar for my hatch outta some thick ass steel tubing.

dont just make the rear crazy stiff and leave the front naked...dont forget that a lot of front end parts/braces dramatically help turn in also...unless if your talking solely about drifting...in which case you should state...
if your talking about drift then either listen to these guys and learn with what you have or set your car up leaning towards oversteer...meaning stiff ass rear, very little tow in up front and toe out in the rear, set caster to max...play around with different settings...its all preference...

weldlocd will GIVE you understeer
yeah, i know the weldlocd will give you more. i wasn't planning on bothering with that. i want to be able to actually turn into a corner without plowing forward.
i'm deffenately getting tires, so, first step there. then yeah, stiffen the rear. and whatever... play it how it goes.
except right now i got another problem to deal with.
thanks for all the tips.
as for that link, i never found that one, now it seems that guy who asked it is a pro about LSD's.
