ok, so i have a Hybrid style FMIC with the single tab on top and two tabs on the bottom. I mounted the top tab, but not hte bottom two because i didn't see how i could do it wihtout making my own custom bracket. ...
months later... the tab on top broke off lol. I'm gonna get it rewelded on but i'd like to mount my FMIC on properly this time. I was wondering if anyone had pics of theirs mounted or pics of custom brackets u made.

here's mine.. but if you're having it rewelded just get some angle iron and bend it to find some near by holes

FMIC kits are based on engine not car. If you have s13 sr20, then you need a fmic piping kit that fits that engine. The reason is because of the throttle body location. But for the hot side, you need to add like 2 inch of piping to make it line up to the hot pipe you will see when you do this.

silverbullet. You need to reweld the upper bracket back, and mount the lower bracket some how. I went to Acehardware and bought a flat piece of metal with a bunch of holes already pre drilled into them. i just cut and bent my own brackets.

err i realized i needed to make a bracket, i was just seeing what other ppl used to make it easier but it looks like nrg's got the perfect solution. Those holes make it MUCH easier to make a bracket. i love u.

S14 SR throttle body comes out straight, S13 is angled. The hole templates are a little off on the S13 VSPL kit, but it works. The S14 kit would not connect to the TB. You can also use the S13 SR VSPL kit on a S14 w/ KA

I did exactly the same thing NRG did, it worked really well. My intercooler has two tabs on the bottom that I don't have any photos of, but it sounds very similar to yours. Same metal for the bottom brackets and just went to the bolts on the frame rails where the Nismo power brace bolts in. Here is a photo of my top bracket:
