I was wondering if anybody knew if you can judge about how much toe you have by the fender. If your toe is 0 then would it be perfectly parallel to the fender or is your fender at an angle.
and as far as rucas and toe alignment..i just put on rucas....doesnt look like my toe is horribly out but say my car is 235/45/17 fender covers top of letters low.....you think they would be able to put my toe in at all without toe rods?

it would be nice if you could post your suspension setup...
I think the stock RUCA/Toe links do allow quite a bit of adjustment, but I may be wrong.

i have silkroads and bv rucas and like I said......the fender just barely comes over the letters on 235/45/17
when i was puttin the rucas on the other day...it looked like there was a good bit of adjusting room with the stock toe rods.
it looks(looking strait down at the top of the tire/bottom of fender) like the toe is 0 or about 0.01 out. Thats why i was wondering if i could judge the toe being zeroed out by it being parallel to the fender(zenki btw)

the stock adjustment of the eccentric is about 1 degree. ruca adjust camber, not toe

i dont understand why you want to do this in the first place. jsut because it look straight does not mean it is . half degree is impossible to notice by eye and will fuck your tires up to hell. your car may drive straight but it doesnt mean your toe and camber angles are ok

-go to a level place (make sure it's level with a bubble level)
-tape string on the center of the fender and tie a coin/bolt to the other end, hanging about 1" off the ground
and as far as stock toe adjustment, whenever you adjust camber the toe gets affected somewhat. negative camber i think creates some toe in (front of tire points in)
and since you have adjustable camber, it depends how much the camber is if the stock toe adjustment range can cover it.
just get an alignment

first of all...i know what toe is and where did i say anything about the ruca adjusting toe? im not an idiot
2nd....im not "trying to do" anything....i just asked if the fender was parallel to the wheel when the toe is 0
i was getting an alignment anyway...answer the damn question...dont tell me that toe eats tires and use a string and i dont know what camber is.

thats just not an accurate way to tell if your toe is "0"
your fender could be misaligned, where ever your car is sitting besides an alignment rack may possibly not be level, one side tire pressure might be off, etc....counting threads on a tie rod isnt even reliable either.
most accurate way is a self alignment kit or take it to an alignment shop.
