NCDA.net is hosting a grip event with instructors on December 11th.
The target number is about 50 drivers so everyone will have plenty of track time, with experienced instructors.
Cost is $140. That is VERY INEXPENSIVE, for Thunderhill.
Details are at www.ncda.net .
[email protected] for additional info and inquiries.
There will be no sliding at all on track. December 11th is dedicated to educating road course fundamentals.
With only 50 or so folks, that makes for ALOT of paddock space, so some circle drill and other sliding fundamentals will be taught on the unused coned off paddock space. We are regulars at Thunderhill, we're good at utilizing every square inch!

sounds good and $140 is nothing for t-hill...what are the rules and regulations?...any idea how the weathers gonna be around that time of year?

The rules are much like any other HPDE, it will be a highly educational event for those of you who have never been on a road course. Its a huge stepping stone for those drifters who have only been to parking lot, or track simulated events. Learn the proper racing lines, braking techniques, weight shifting, etc on one of the BEST road courses ever designed for learning.
For those who are experienced, come enjoy the inexpensive event! There will be ALOT of track time.
The weather in the city of Willows is pretty dry, we've been lucky in that venue, and in the several years we've gone up during winter, we've never been rained on, some fog and coldness, but not wet. The event will go on rain or shine, so be prepared for the worst, but expect it to be sunny and nice.
[email protected] if you have any more questions, I'll check back on the forums periodically.

registered. Should be fun.
Are you running with the bypass or without? Also, normal or reverse course?

Final configuration isn't worked out yet, but I normally do it without the bypass. I've never done Thunderhill backwards, that sounds interesting...
Signups for the Dec event is kinda low right now. Is this event still going to happen if we don't get that many sign ups?

Thanks moo.
Everyone. We need for you to sign up asap if you are planning to go. This event will kick ass, and is an extremely low price for T-Hill.
The event will be grip on the track and Drifting in the paddock. We are doubling the size of the cone course this year! for drifting.
There will be great instruction from exp drivers out there such as calvin wan, todd ho, me, henry, etc.
I will also have my ls1fd out there for all who want to check it out.
