I don't know what these things are called or how they are put in, i saw this picture in another thread

those things that looks like bolts but are not bolts, how do you use them, do you need a special machine?

yep thos are... if you have a autozone where you live you can get a rivet gun there for like less than 20 bucks, you just drill a hole in the size you need and pop the rivet in using the gun its not that hard.

That's how fender flairs usually go on.

I dind't know Auto Zone rented a rivet gun.

rivet guns arent that expensive

might as well just buy it

sometimes autozone is gay and sneak in a usage fee, even though the rental fee is "free"

I've rented spring compressors from them b4 and it went fine. I'm sure a rivet gun is not something you'd use very often. Not really worth buying it if your gonna use it once. And unfortunaly I don't know anyone who would want to use it.

just go to harbor freight , u can get a hole kit for under 20 bucks with lots of diffrent size rivets.....rivet kit (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=7356)

rivets they are, and do not tell your going to do that to your sunroof Jeremy.

use sheet metal screws instead of rivets. rivets fucking suck when you want to drill them out and they just spin in the hole.

Riveting has got to be the stupidest way to do anything on a car. Sheetmetal screws.. or god forbid someone does something correctly and welds it (or gets it welded). That sunroof cover HAS to be leaking.. or there wouldn't be rust comming from under it.
