OT: I thought i saw A EVO Lancer today

The sun was shining really hard on this yellow car that was driving towards me.  I saw the big evo lights and i was like OMG.  I knew we have lancers but no EVo's i was like awesome!!!!!!!!!!  Then it turned and the glare from the sun went away and it was a NEON with a EVO bumper.  damn them......

Im sorry but EVo's are sexy in that boxy sorta way
just wanted to share.
Anyone else get dissapointed like this?

Well lots of us are waiting till FEB 2003 for the EVO VII (well EVO VIII since it will be renamed for US sale)

My friend at Mitsubishi PR says that not to much will be changed...side mount IC and I think another catalytic converter. &nbsp;From what he knows they are keeping the Brembos but the damn thing is looking at about 35k sticker. &nbsp;I heard HP estimates of the 280 tuned for the US at 230-240.

I hope it's not that expensive since this will be my 3rd project car.

friend saw a evo the other day at angeles crest...couldve easily been lancer with new lights....but i believe him that it was a evo cuz angeles crest was where we first saw the bmw 7series 2 months b4 it came out so...possibly doing some testing up there...?

i did see an evo today. &nbsp;but then again, &nbsp;i'm in okinawa and i see all kinds of cool ass cars here. &nbsp;but this was a VII and it was silver. &nbsp;they are very impressive looking.

Since it's an evo thread, I've seen at least 1 real one and one (possibly only external) "conversion" from the Mirage or whatever.
The "real" evo I saw cruising around the LA int'l airport (Yes, I even heard the bov as he went by), and the other was parked in a residential area somewhere between Torrance and Long Beach. I don't even remember where.

yeah, there's one or two lanevo's here in Portland. &nbsp;Although, I'm sure they're conversions....but to me, they're still Lanevo's...supposedly, there's a few skylines driving around too...I've never seen one..but supposedly there are a couple.
