i just got my autometer boost guage and it did not come with a t fitting, i thought thats how everyone hooked it up, but the instructions dont even show one, it has a 1/4 inch nut instead, what gives? it is a mechanical guage, has anyone hooked one up without using a t to tap into a vacuum line?

I think you just have to go buy the T at a hardware store. I'm pretty sure they send just the nut (or whatever) b/c a lot of cars have an extra place in the manifold you can tap into that isn't used.

Check in the latest issue of Super Street they do an instal of an autometer boost gauge in there. They just used their own t-fitting and cable ties (didn't use the nut)

i attached a T to one of the vacuum lines running from the manifold, and ran a hose to an adapter that adapted to the nut, which then attached to the capilary tubing for the boost gauge.
