you are thinking of I30 J30's are rear wheel drive

Hey do you need the two axles ?? I was under the impression that it will just bolt right in? Well that is what my auto mechanics teacher told me but he doesnt know a whole lot about Nissan's and Infinite's. But are the axles needed?

the axles are needed if its pre 95 J30 if its after 95 then it bolts in without the axles

?? when you ask if it applies to the whole 240 line, well yes. If you are using the J30 VLSD's like I stated above. If you use a 300zx NA VLSD then you will have to use the pre 95 J30 axles because the 300 used a 5 bolt flange on the output shafts. Our 240's use a 6 bolt in a 2x3 configuration. that is why if you use a pre 95 J30 vlsd or a 300 vlsd you need the axles.
