Why so negative? I'm just letting people know that SSR is up and running through Tanabe, that you no longer have to deal with the tire rack and their lame offsets, and that I saw an actual set brand new in the box.

And no, the rims I saw were not for sale. According to what they told me, they will be going on all of their cars except the civic.

They did mention that their Rays wheels might be up for grabs soon since they will be switching to SSR.

Is there something particularly wrong with tire rack's SSR's? I bought a set of GT1's there a year ago and they seem pretty good. More than enough offset to clear my Z brakes and flushed out all 4 corners. Is there something else Im not aware of?

they dont let you pick your offsets, they go by "safe" sizes for your vehicle. Some reps might be cool and get you whatever you want, but from what I hear the majority are idiots who think we can't size our own wheels. If you got what you want, great. Me, i'd go with a company that lets the customer buy what the customer wants.

yeah they fought with me when they asked what car i had, told them a 92 240SX, and I was buying wheels for a 91 TT 300ZX and they kept saying "but a 240SX is a 4 bolt car" they ended up selling me wheels and tires for a "track car" which then in turn voided the warranty on my tires. So when they started wearing TOO fast (goodyear eagle F1 GSD3's) they said "oh its a track car, no wonder they're wearing" i was like fuck this and hung up. So yeah, I can understand where you all are coming from

Prices aren't the greatest probably, but hey, at least you have pics to look at, along with a size chart, and you can call them up and order whatever offset, as long as you have the dough.

Yeah, I've bought something from them a long time ago, and they were pretty cool as far as having the lowest price for whatever I was buying, and shipping was decent too. They also shipped quickly.

However, I haven't dealt with them after they changed their name to Gruppe-S.

So yeah, sorry about that. At least for those of us who aren't in the know with the pimp ass wheels, we can learn of their names, shape, pimpness, and some of their size/offsets.

And Dousan, I found another set of Agle Minervas on Yahoo Auctions Japan yesterday. Size and offsets were weak, but damn, price was damn good. Found some SSR Professors in 17x8.5 +5 offset, and Work Meister S1 in ridiculous Porsche sizes - F: 18x11 -18 / R: 18x13 -48 All that goodness for like $400 or $500 USD. Too bad shipping's gonna be the rapist...
