im probably one of the few that like their auto seatbelts and dont plan to swap to manual seatbelts or run a harness on the street. lately though, its been acting retarded and going slow, sometimes coming to a stop in the middle. i just push it and it goes but damn its annoying. anyone had this same problem? is there like a motor in there i can replace? the passenger one works frickin sweet
thanks in advance for any help

Hey if the clean and lube works post it up here so i can see, if thats all thats wrong that would be sweet, mine has that exact problem, even the perfectly working passenger one. i thought it was probably an electrical issue on mine so if its not that would be great

Make nissan fix it, lifetime warranty on seatbelts.

There is NOT a lifetime warranty on seatbelts. Ran into this when I was a service writer. Seat belt warranty runs back to any production date after 6/89 (90 model and up). New peices for the slider ran the guy over $300, but this was on a '87 Maxima. If you have a '89 no dice for the warranty.

it's a safety issue, and auto seatbelts suck, prone to breaking

It would have been better to call your local Dealer and ask the Service/Parts Department, rather then revive this thread from last year.
