between fremont and campbell, what's the best place for a shop that builds racecars and does tuning and shit like that?

Fremont. There are tons of popular tuning shops there. Vishnu, Synergy, as well as many other.

wherever the shop owner does not get killed on rents. Biggest problem in the bay area shop wise in the last 5 years has been rents are crazy.

+1 for "real" NorCal

Lots of shops in South Bay.. I personally believe there is more business to be had up here.

But rent is a bitch...

Yeah, I was thinking SSF when I first saw this thread. But as for what you listed. I'd go with fremont. And on a side note. Hire me for something if you open up shop! hahaha

Vishnu is actually in union city now. Northbay needs some love for sure.

www.tcdesignfab.com in Milpitas...
Tony is an awesome guy there

i think a more remote area like Morgan Hill would be a better place to put a "tuner" shop. No one gets harassed out there and rent is cheap. Kind of far away from surbaban cities, but would be well worth the drive if that shop adjusts their rates according to the area

Gruppe-S in Hayward, do alot of WRX/EVO work but are a full service shop with Mustang dyno. Very reasonable labor rates too;)
