I bought a Koyo racing radiator (R1276 or w/e PN, ka24de) from an ebay seller yesterday (Decent price: $285 shipped). The seller refunded my payment today along with this note:

Message From Seller:
hi
sorry manufature recall product.
thank you for your understanding

regard

I called the seller, raceconcepts.net, and asked for some more info about this "manufacturer recall". He told me that Koyo is recalling some batches of the radiators due to an issue with some of the seam welds. I assume this means there are issues with cracking and/or leaking in some of their products :( I sure as fuck don't want a leaky radiator, that is why I am upgrading in the first place! The vendor said that they are shipping their entire radiator inventory back to Koyo, who will inspect the products and either ship replacements or the originals back to him in a few weeks.

Has anyone else (particularly Zilvia advertisers/vendors) heard about this recall or have any more information about it? I sent an email to Koyo ([email protected]) asking about the recall and waiting for a reply.

Joe do yourself a favor and get a Griffin instead its a superior radiator for around 25% more.

Thanks Dave I'll look into that! Do you have a part # and/or link? thx

I also tried contacting www.alumrad.com for a quote on a custom jobber but never heard back from em...... Their products look great but who knows what they charge!

I actually can get it for you . I think I can match the price of the guy that sells them on ebay. which is like $365. I got one for my RB after running a Koyo and noticed a 10 degree difference in operating temp and it does not heat soak and the koyo does.
