how many of you have had bad exhaust hangers come off your car? my buddies 92' hatchback had both of the rears come detached from the car just wondering if that is a common problem

maybe it has to do with the exhaust being apexi dual gt

Well keep in mind your buddies hatch is 13 years old which means those rubber hangers are going to sag and probably break after time.

I had stock ones on my 240SX and my HKS Hi-Power was shaking around like a big booty. I replaced mine with Cusco Hangers and now they're super solid.

Email me, I got a few sets of hangers from Cusco left in stock. YAY! :w00t:

Well mine broke on my 98 and my stock exhaust ended up the freeway.

I had a gt spec. Rubber bushings stretched. Try replacing them as andy's autosport recommended. OEM bushings from pepboys will do.

or use worm clamps to eliminate the slack and gap in the rubber hangers. I'm using an exhaust rite now that feels as heavy as stock exhaust. with the clamps I can shake the whole car by the exhaust. Plus it doesn't move around while I'm driving.

Very common, especially with that 52lb exhaust.
I used to have that N1 dual, tore 2 hangers...... so I swapped in the Nismo ones. Then it broke the metal hangers right off the exhaust.
Got rid of the exhaust for something that doesn't weigh a shit-ton, no probs since.

Yeah hose clamps work well. My exhaust came off after an off-track excursion at Buttonwillow. Everything has been fine after hose clamps, you even get a little extra ground clearence.
