Has anybody used the Pacesetter big bore "Monza" Exhaust system. I don't know anything about pacesetter but the pictue looks like a complete cat-back system. But it's only $170. Tell me what you think.
Here's a picture (http://www.jcwhitney.com/productnoitem.jhtml?CATID=34128&BQ=jcw2&_requestid=22319)

i've got the pacesetter catback on my car.
it used to have a mean deep growl at idle.
it used to set off car alarms when i would start my car (believe it or not)
it used to look nice (before the paint burned off of it)
notice i said used to.
this thing is a complete PIECE OF CRAP!
even my friends (who know nothing about cars) ask me why my car doesn't sound the way it used to. i never did notice any gains on the butt dyno.
i get pissed off everytime i see the word pacesetter.

Dang that sucks! What's it sound like now? Can you replace the Muffler with another one? Dave

it sounds okay at idle, but when i nail it it sounds like it's gonna jump from under the car and run away. kinda hard to describe really.
i guess i could replace the muffler, but no need to waste money since i'm saving for a convertible.

I've got a convertible-and I got the pacesetter on it. Sounds real nice, but needs to lower loudness by 30db. You can get sound clip here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2480845825
Yeah, it's too loud for me, hence the eBay auction. Has no resonator. Everyone thinks I am driving a Ferrari. Too bad my car has stock rims, automatic, and no turbo.

there is a reason why i always called mine a poopsetter..they are crap, it sounded good at first but then it started sounding liek shit..the only way it was ever a good exhaust was when I cut the monza tip crap off and had a ractive (i know but it was free) canister on it...then it sounded and looked like a 5zigen Fireball.. the only time i was happy with the exhaust was when i got 20 bucks for it and i put my waaaay better sounding n1 duals on...

my car came with a pacesetter/monza exhaust it sucks. It is too loud i have to shift at 3000rpm cause it is soo loud. And they rust alot. if you want one i will trade you mine for a stock one.

Now, lets let this thread go back to the abyss where it came from and stay there for eternity....
