I was just thinking about how my leather seat on the driver side is showing its age on the bolster where you slide over to get in. Just worn out, not ripped yet, I think it was upholstered once before i got it

does anyone know if the design and assembly of the stock seats would allow you to remove the upholstered part ONLY from the seats and switch them...Like basically I want to put the (rarely used) seat and backrest from the passenger side onto the driver side and vice versa.

Im hoping you can take the seat part at least off seperate of the frame, cause I know you wouldnt be able to just swap the entire seat

the seat back and bottom are the same on both sides, they can be removed from the rails and switched.

If it's just that "driver hole", you don't even have to remove the bottom.

Make your life easier:

Unbolt both seats so you have a lot of room to work with.

The upper backrest is held on by 2 bolts on either side. You can find those bolts by sliding your hand up the side of the backrest where the seat starts to fold. I believe they are 14mm bolts on either side.

Swap & done!

If you want to do the bottom part to, you can, but it's more of hassle since you have to separate the bottom from the frame rail, only 5-6 bolts, but the slider likes to move around.
