Drift showoff, how was it today?

I wanted to go but i've had this stupid flu all week. So how was it? personally I think GG would be too small to have that event there.

Sonny (from Tracy, S13 Coupe w/ R32 Tails) took 1st Place
Al Lagura (truenocoupe, you know, the pilipino goy) took 2nd Place
BADDASSSSSSSS! Todd Ho in his LS1 powered car took 3rd Place.

it was a great course, 3rd gear entry long left sweeper decreasing radius with clipping zone, transition to right then left. I couldn't handle 3rd gear, I had the speed but I couldn't catch the angle, spun out every fucking time. about 3 cars hit the pole on the outside of the sweeper.

there were so many good people out there, even sponsored cars like Megan Racing, GroundZero, and some Drifting Pretty girls were out there.

60 eliminated to 12, then top 4, then podium top 3.

It was a blast next time my car will be running and we will be going for it for sure. I was driving the Red S14 From groundzero! Had electrical issues all day never got a run in without the car sputtering or dieing it was very disapointing. But i will be back!

Whoa, didnt know cars actually clipped that pole. I know that Z33 almost run smack into it when it understeered cuz of that lil "bump" right when you initiate the 1st turn.

It was koo but iono. Either organizers still dont get it at this point or they just to damn greedy for their own good. We dont need a no stinking "CAR SHOW" so why have it? :Owned:

And this is where i got smacked in the cheek with a fatty ass piece of gravel. That was my personal highlight. Guess he saw and felt sorry for me so he threw me the shirt he's holdin up. haha.

Cool event, definitely was really big. Falken put on quite a show with their cars and the car show portion was pretty big as well. I was out in the drifter pit area helping a friend out.

I think they did a good job organizing it all and got everyone into it, whether people were into drifting or car shows.

LOL, I didn't get hit by a rock but I could definately see it was going to happen. I did however miss a Auquafina bottle that was hurled out from under Hiro's Chaser by a few inches. I was suprised that people were standing so close to the first corner entry, I mean I was standing like 3 feet away from a sideways AE86 goin like 70 or so. There was a big chance something could have gone wrong and a bunch of people could have been taken out. I was one fucking number away from winning a free body kit in the raffle. ONE Number!! Oh well, it probably wasn't a very good lookin kit, and i don't even think they have an s13 kit. The cool part is that you could get it in urethane :wiggle: Very good event, I'll definately be there next year.

the event was fun but pretty dangerous for spectators along the straightaway and first turn. i also got hit in the face, shin, shoe...when ever the pros would fly by i would always turn my back towards them cous they be kicking up everything in there path.

Yep that venue is dangerous for spectators!!! I got hit watching the practice before I could go out for my runs... I got hit in the head by a damn rock!!! Good thing it just grazed me. One girl got hit in the eye!!!

It was a fun event... hopefully I can place next time HAHAHAHA

the event was a lot of fun, getting into top 12 was awsome. i tried to get as close to the crowd as possible on the entry. i just wish i had more power.
