I paid $750 for a front end conversion from Lost Projects. It's been 3 months and I still haven't recieved it and now Ian hasn't responded to any emails or PM's for over a month. You need to take care of your customers. If there is a problem tell me otherwise I'll need my money back.

I haven't been able to catch him online, so I have no idea what's going on. I can't call because he's moving as well as the business...I hope that he does clarify a few things though...Let's not all jump to conclusions though, he hasn't even had time to respond to this yet...

Hey, LostProjects.
Just to let you in on something. I really don't know whats going on here, and it could be a slip-up. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, but still.
It is pretty much fact that Zilvia.net and Freshalloy are the 2 most popular 240sx owner boards, and this post is on BOTH.
I would reply to something, anything, to save face on this whole ordeal. Otherwise, you should look into specializing on Honda stuff.
-Jeff
I'd say let him reply before you "think twice". Although I admin these posts are a little unnerving...
Unfortionately I was too broke to send him the money I was supposed to but, assumeing there is a good explination for these problems (and I assume/hope there is) I still plan to do business with Ian.

well he was originally Ianhan on the forums, and people had many problems dealing with this guy. I'm not sure what he's up to now, hopefully its ok.
It's also partially because of him that SpeedAlliance pulled out of the Apexi Exhaust Group Buy.

Don't know how it got to this state.
For Garrett, it was my fault.
For Nismo240SX, it took about 2 weeks more then what was anticipated on getting the front end conversion. Once it was available, he wanted to pick it up. I said it was OK, but he can't do it till the coming Thursday. He decided to back out because he didn't want it anymore. At this time, I had already paid for the parts. I refunded his money 1 and a half weeks ago, but he said he never go it. I e-mail him telling him, if he didn't get the money by the week end, I will cancel the first check and send him out another.
There is nothing I can say. Except that I have not disappeared and in fact, I have been e-mailing everyone back and fourth.
Grant? Many people dealing with me? Whom? I am a listed dealer with many places. For references, refere to Enjuku, ProjectD, Phase2, any of your major 240SX shops, they all know me personally.
I screwed up on two sales that I performed, one, becasue of avaliablility, the other, becasue the customer backed out.

As for dousan36,
He's saying that I have not been replying to his e-mails. This thread was started by me, to inform customers that I will be a little hard to get a hold off, because I will not have 24 hour access to the computer.
The last time I spoke to dousan36 was on Thursday. I had the movers at my house on Friday at 7:30 in the morning. On Friday night, last night, the movers were done at 50 in the afternoon. As soon as I got time, I made myself avaliable to everyone, first informing everyone that we were moving.
I think I have done my part. The closing for my property will not be until Tuesday and it's hard for me to log on. This was the purpose.
Again, for nissmo240sx, I was late on delivering the order, it took two weeks more then I expected. It was for a complete JDM front end conversion. They are hard to get a hold off and when it did become avaliable, he wanted to pick it up in person, which I said it was OK. But he backed out when he heard that he could not do it until the Thursday. I send his money out in a timely fashion (I believe 2 days), but he said he still has not gotten it. There was a week and a half in between this. I told him to hold off till the end of this week (becasue it was being mailed from Florida to CA) and if he has not gotten it, I will send another check out and void the first one.
For anyone interested in ordering products that I have listed for the groupbuys. I have numerous amount of references. For Teins, they are not being shipped from Tein, they are being shipped from MVP Motorsports, becasue they offered me a better deal. I don't think this information is relavent to my customers, as long as the products arrive in a timely fashion. I am sharing this info, in hoping that people agree with my business ethics.
For Whiteline products, Mofugas Motorsports are the main distributors here in the US. For verification, ask for Rob and inquire to see whether Lost Projects are indeed a dealer. http://www.mofugas.com/
I messed up on 2 deals. I hope this will not take away from my reputation in the community. For the people that I have dealt with, I think they can vouch for me that I do go out of my way to take care of my customers.
Lost Projects is consider by many to be a new business and not very trustworthy. I am here, starting the GBs to make a name for myself and to provide everyone that has the same interest as I do with great prices. Wayne, at Phase 2, Louis, at Boost Dynamics, Sean, at Project D, and lots of other 240SX related shops all know me personally.
I am sorry for the messups with Garrette and nissmo240sx, I will make everything right, if I have not already done so. But for dousan36, I am sorry, but you started a thread about me, after waiting less then a day. I hope you will come public in the boards to take back what you have said, both here and on FA. What everyone needs to understand is, I do not have time to reply to 20 e-mails from every single customer. Once I believe I have answered all the related e-mails, I think I have done my job as a retailer.
For all the customers that has already ordered with me, please verify this for me, including dousan36. Once I recevie the payment for a product, it takes me less then a few minutes to e-mail out an invoice and to also touch base with the customer. I try to be right on top of everything that I do, but it has been a little harder this week, becasue of the move. Everyone try to understand.

Ian,
Most definately I will let everyone know the final result. I wont let it go by without stating what i said. I'm just disappointed so far. Hopefully we can clear this up.
This frustation on my part is quite high and i was very please to recieve phone calls and emails, but i wish you had told me you ordered it from MVP, you said the order went in wednesday (when i send you the CC #s, you had said it was already ordered) and i asked where it was shipped from, you said Tein, i asked where are they, you said paramount california, i said, i believe that's by La
hence, my belief that it was shpped.
Now, you did say i will recieve it before Friday (may 10th), and i hope that to be true. All i am requesting is a tracking number for my 2 products and i will be happy.
Upon reciept of my products (HE and t/c control rods) i will most definately (the very very first thing) will be to post messages on Zilvia, Freshalloy and NOrthwest Nissans.
I'm not here to give you a bad rep, i just want people to be aware what the situation is. my friend was going to order from you too, but he's now waiting until i get mine.
Ian, i really want to clear this up. All we are asking is that there is good contact between everyone. I dont mind if you post replies here (on Zilvia) if you have no email access, we just want to make sure we get our products and orders fulfilled in a timely manner.
Sincerely,
Aaron Suarez

dousan36 -
I do not understand your disappointment. I ordered your order the day I said it would. I even gave you an expected date. I don't understand about the point of bashing me and not making things right until you get your product? I am running a business, not a kiddy playground. My reputation will be on hold until you are satisfied? I don't understand. I provided this GB in spite of giving everyone an excellent price on products that are normally high in cost. Now, that I didn't happen to e-mail you between the afternoon of May 3rd to May 4th, I have to suffer? Give me a break. I said you should recevie the products on May 10th, if you don't get it, I can totally understand where you are coming from, but that's not the case. You placed your order, what on Tuedsay? Wednesday? It's been 3 days and you are destroying this GB and worst of all my reputation.
nissmo240sx -
I wrote you an e-mail and told you what I was going to do. I said if you did not get the previous check, I will have one send out via UPS, so you will have the tracking number. I would prefer you keep your threats about lifting 335 and such to yourself.
For everyone else -
Sorry for all this that's happening. Lost Projects is here to help everyone out. I will keep on providing more and more GB for products alike that I have offered. Time will tell.
Thanks

Just one more thing.
As a business, we accept both checks and credit cards. If trust is an issue, pay by credit card. Both you and I will be protected. If I am fake business and am here just to scam people, I really do not think we would have gone through the trouble on setting up merchant accounts and such.
There are normal operating procedures that I follow. The reaon why it took nissmo240sx's refund about two weeks to be sent out, was because the front end conversion was already paid for. I waited for the distributor to mail me back the check before I send it out.
All and all, I have to tell Garrette that I am sorry for taking so long on his front end conversion. As for dousan36 and nissmo240sx, there's not much to be said.
dousan36, please be patient and you will get what you have ordered.
nissmo240sx, lots has happened, but I have not lost contact with you and have been e-mailing you with every step that I have and plan to take.
Patience is something that people don't have. For dousan36, it has only been 3 day, no more, and my reputation is sacrfied because I was unable to ship his coilovers out in a days time, when in fact, it has been ordered and will be shipped out on time, according to the expected date I told him. What more should I do?

Reading the above thread, I am glad that Ian has replied, and admitted, even, to messing up once or twice -- it's only human! While you may not see a shop or a corporation as human, it is still made up of people like you and me.
I for one have not lost faith in Ian or lostprojects, and will continue to trust them until anything has been proven otherwise that should cause me to lose trust. Furthermore, I can also say that I appreciate what Ian's trying to do, which is bringing good deals to us.

It was several SR swap deals going sour, and it is just a lot of hassle going through you for parts. Like I said, I may be wrong about you since I havent dealt with you personally, but based on these people here, you haven't earned such a great reputation. These allegations arent made by me, but by others that dealt with you. I can't remember any names as this was a while ago whil you were under the name ianhan, and I didnt pay that much attention to these transactions gone bad.
About the Apexi Group Buy, Chris spent a mass amount of time, getting everything organized, getting pricing, answering a bunch of emails, getting everything together. Then you just jump into the post basically saying "oh my prices are better, so there." I find that very inconsiderate.
But nonetheless you are right. Its a free market, everyone's free to compete. I dont have anything against you, I'm only pointing out some facts.
Like I said, lets hope the deals don't go sour and everyone gets everything. I will give you the benefit of the doubt. But if you want to turn everything around and have the customers take the blame, so be it. I mean if you want to use other shops to support your credibility, that's fine, but I'd rather hear from the customers.
I mean damn, John Hennessy had a good reputation at one point didn't he?
And if ANYONE on here has had a successful deal with Ian, please post. If he doesnt really deserve to be bashed like this, then let the other members know.

Grant,
JFYI. You make it sound as if there are lots of people that had bad experience with me. For the clip thing, there was one incident:
Brain, a guy in OH (he is now a real good friend), bought a clip from me, I was quoted from my distributor that the shipping charges will be $350. Once the motor arrived at the delivery address, the COD amount turned out to be $1000! To make a long story short, I sold him the clip (complete) for $1700 and he had to pay $500 more for shipping. An unexpected $150 more from the original quote. I dished out, over what I was making, $500 to make everything right. That was my very first transaction, as ianhan, before Lost Projects was established. I did not have any business experience and I suffered from it. I think I did what I needed to do on my part. That was the only transaction that I can think off, I do not know where your several SR swap problems came from!?
As for the A'pexi thing, I don't know how you are tied in with Speed Alliance, but it seems that you are quite sour about the whole thing. I am sorry that I butted in on the GB. Believe me, I have grown through all this. I will not inturrupt anyone else in the future.

Hi all
I am just posting to tell everyone that i talked to IAN few times regarding his GBs and other suggestions and comments when i needed some and he seemed to be very helpful and genuine.
I understand some of you guys have problems because money is involved, believe me, i been there myself before and its no fun. But i can tell you this much with my conversations with IAN, that i will give him benefit of the doubt, specially when he is trying to make a name for himself and his business, now we all might not know how hard that can be, but one can definitely understand this......he has to compete with well established businesses like RACING ZONE to PDM RACING to JPEC.com to SR SHOPS to internet businesses..
I know its easy for me to say this since i have nothing involved, meaning money, or products back ordered.....but all i am saying is, i give IAN benefit of the doubt to give him an opportunity to make everything right.....
And i hope he makes it right for himself and for his business. I encourage him to go the extra mile and make it not only right, but BETTER to gain his reputation back.....
That's all i wanted to say to my fellow 240 friends....
Also, please post once the situation is resolved to give your final feedback to community and to IAN and his business.

apexi GB? Ian didn't do anything to break it up. It was me who told him not to butt in cuz he offered similar prices and then the GB went on smoothly.. people just didn't send in their checks in the end. Internet business depends a lot on reputation and trust, dont ruin somebody's business if you dont know what went wrong.... idiots!
for the front end conversion dude, let me get this right, just cuz the delivery came in a little late, you had to back out? I hope Ian charge you the "restocking fee" cuz you damn well deserve that shit! what another idiot!

Boy oh boy did this get drug through the mud.
Anyways, I just bought a catback Apexi N1 Single from Ian, he posted it on FA. I emilaed ihm and asked him a few questions, we agreed on a price. Since it was only about a 3 hour ride to his place I told him I'd be down on Sunday since that was the only day I had off, he had to be in Tampa earlier that day but he said he'd come back to meet up and get me the exhaust. Well, I was running a little late and he was running about 10 minutes later but I did meet up with him. He actually knocked a considerable amount off the originally agreed upon price which made my day
We talked for a while. I can vouch for him being in the middle of moving.

Good, you're speaking like a human. Not a civilized human, but a human nonetheless. Time and effort will fix the civilized part.
But now... since I am on my soapbox, I will say what I have to say.
How would you drive to pick it up? Don't you realize that if the distributor wanted people to pick things up from there, they would have a fucking storefront? Not just a warehouse with dust and car parts and trucks going to and fro.
All business need a middleman, and you tried to cut him out, and it didn't happen. Then you were impatient, and spread libel all over the internet, fucking up his business. I have always tried to be a mediator here, and when this post went of FA, I posted a link, knowing that lostprojects would reply, and people could get the whole truth. Then I emailed the mods to close the thread. Take your crap up with the business, followed by the authorities.
Ohh.. yeah. Don't threaten me. I never threatened you. Are you that scared of my words you must resort to violence. Fuck off. I don't wanna pay $400 to fly there and get into a fight. There is a bar 2 blocks away I can get thrown out of for free.

While he's moving you all can direct your questions to me. I know pretty much everything that's going on. If it has to do w/ tracking numbers and the likes, that I cannot help you with, but pretty much anything else I can answer, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Thanks Doc. I emailed Ian, if you get a hold of him, please let him know, it is pretty urgent, and i promised i would keep everything off board for now to work any issues out with him.
I just need a phone call or something. He said (above-previous page) i'd have it friday (promised), and that's only 3 days away..ground..i dont think will make it from texas then (takes 4 days). A phone call would be great, as he had called me before. I am on vacation next week and out of the country, so yeah, its pretty urgent. id like to work those issues out with him offboard if i could. For my sanity and his.
Thanks again,
Aaron

I think everything that had to be said has already been said. Ian replied and explained what was going on which at least made me feel better. So I would say since some people here still haven't mentally graduated from junior high, it may be time to lock the door on this thread. Just my opinion here.

I think that a moderator could/should delete some of the threat posts in this thread...there's no need for that...
