Hurricane Katrina/Rita Cars

I was kinda wondering about the cars that got caught in the hurricane's path. Did the guys here part their cars, or did the insurance foot the bill for damages??

I assume that some people are also trying to sell their cars (not necessarily 240sx's) as "brand new" or "great condition" vehicles.

I ask cause I'm thinking of purchasing another car and I don't really wanna get stuck with a car that has been flooded or anything else the hurricane's threw at them. (sorry for those stuck, but it's the truth :( )

also for aftermarket parts/clips/motors. aren't those effected also?

btw. i did use the search button on the side of the topic and didn't find anything similar to this.

You can always try and refurbish what Katrina did, or has done.

I wouldn't buy parts that were drenched in muddy water.
