im getting a loud pop from the front suspension when im parallel parking, like when i turn to full lock. also when i have the wheel turned to full lock and the front tire touches the curb it makes the same popping sound. i've also heard the same noise when i brake hard in a straight line. i have powertrix t/c rods (the ones with the stupid grease fittings which i hear are not good :( ), coils, stock tie rods and umm i kinda need an alignment. could this be the bearing going bad in the hub? im lost cause people tell me thats not the sound bad hub bearings make.

my friend had cut springs lol, do you have cut springs? everytime he turned they'd pop or move, but then it's cause the top mounting plate wasn't positioned properly, so when he'd turn, it would get stuck/stopped cause it would hit the chassis, but the spring was still turning along w/the rest of it

Get an alignment, then try again.
Bad bearings would be more of a grind, than a pop. My guess, off the top of my head, would be your TC rods. Make sure they are TIGHT. Do you have alot of caster? or actually, noticeable caster?

i have tein coilovers with tein camber plates indolent.
how does caster feel like? i'll make sure my tc rods are on tight tomorrow.

The full lock leads me to believe it's in your steering. Are your rod ends blown?

it is your TC rod bushings.

tighten your TC bushing to the TC bracket, and then the forks that go into the LCA. Then tighted the LCA, Macpherson bolts, and tierod end bolt. Then check the rod itself. Make sure NOTHING is loose.
like Dan's butthole. :keke:
Oh, caster should be pretty subtle until you really know the feel of your car. I've noticed when i had caster (pass. side wheel was tucked back) my handling wasn't as great at higher speeds.

there are 2 bolts that hold your sway bar to your frame. they weill be over the sway bar, tough to see but they are there. check those. check to see if there is any space between the bracket your T/C rods bolt to. Mine was loose, come to find out one was loose and the other is stripped(the frame) so I cant even bolt one side to the frame. i have the SAME popping noise

I have the same poping sounds also. everyday. making u turns, parking, and especially when breaking.
I have not checked those sway bar bolts, ima try that. but other than that everything is all tight and it still makes the poping sounds.

I have had the exact same problem with a poppping sound when turning very tight at very low speeds (like in the garage) and also occasionally when stopping very hard.
If anyone locates the problem, please share the solution!

actually, i jsut remembered this problem i had. It was the tierods. Tighten em goood. Then get aligned.
Or, you could play it supersafe, and tighten every suspension related bolt on your front end.

I think the problem might be due to the rack and pinion. Once i get a day off work, or free time ill check it out.

i noticed also that while im at a stop if i move the steering wheel from one side to the other (wiggle it) i could hear the same pop. wat does that mean?
