Has anybody tried out this clutch?

I was just looking around for clutches, and found it. It sounds good for the money, but I can't seem to find out any information about it anywhere. I'm sure I'm bound to find someone that's used it. If so, please let me know how it is. I tried searching, and it seems like nothing comes up, or I have no luck at all.

Yes, I did come up with someone's old thread, but it's for an SR, so obviously it's going to be different, so I'm trying to see if anyone tried this on their KA..
here's the old thread to show that I did 'try' searching..

judging from the pic , I would hazard a guess thats a repainted Daiken pressure plate with a 6 puck driven disc. I.E. you could do that setup yourself. The Pressure plate definitely looks like a Daiken though. Several of the high performance clutch manufucturers only actually manufacture the driven disc but rebadge the Pressure plate. Centerforce does on all but their top of the line model. They have been rebadging Daiken Pressure plates for years. As ACT and Spec, have done as well on all except possibly their top of the line.

tried it. i put one in my gfs car, broke it in for the 500miles they recomended...and it sucks. the pressure plate is soft as hell and it doesnt grab at all. spend extra money on something better.

Thanks for the heads up and the info to the both of you! I'm not familar with clutches but I'm guessing that Daiken pressure plates aren't good then?

usually they repaint and rebadge daiken clutches and sometimes even rebuild them... they also sometimes add more weights in the plate to put more clamping force....

daiken is a main manufucturers in japan for clutches

i have this F1 clutch in my car.. the 6 puck like any other 6 puck clutch will hold the power but the pressure plate is just to soft... i can drop the clutch and it will jerk my whole car like a mother but when i start getting into higher rpms and start clutch kickin it... it just doesnt do the job... i do have a KA-T though...

u really need a top of the line pressure plate to pair up with a 6 puck assuming you will be throwing some power down to the ground

what uses are you planning to do withthe clutch? track? daily? stock? turbo?

Well.. just sourcing all the parts for a turbo kit right now, and I'm almost there, just a couple of more parts. First of all, this will be for my daily driven car to and from school (with turbo), but once in a while it'll be tracked possibly. So far I've found this:

and it looks like it'd fit my needs. For now, I'm just looking for something that'll handle 350 whp/lbs of torque. If you guys have any ones in mind, please refer me. I'm just new to the whole clutch thing (over stock).

I think there was a thread/review about the F1 clutch. I think you may want to get OEM throw out bearing or something...
