Can't stand seeing the stock rubber accordian intake on my SR...so I looked around and thre's few options for intake - expensive JDM parts or "maybe it'll fit" ebay pipes - then I happened upon the SAMCO kit - not too bad.
Anyone have experience with it? Looking for power difference and also noise...my HKS SSQV BOV and turbo are already loud with the stock intake hose, I bet samco silicon keeps the noise down better than a metal pipe?

meh. Looks pretty nice (samco IS nice), but not $200 nice.
it's a friggin hose basically, hopefully it doens't have a spring inside it to keep from crushing (imploding) like stock. Looking at the thickness, it strength SHOULD be fine, AND keep things quieter than stock... definitely quieter than metal (no reverb). I'll stick w/my $70 do-jobby from Aure's group buy :)

It's a nice silicone that won't melt, dry out or crack. It's a nice part and worth the money. It should insulate the charge from the heat soak of metal pipes.

ahhh, that's a good point I hadn't thought of... I don't think heat SOAK would be so much an issue, but the samco would definitely be more insulated.
