Hi all,

I'm really in need of some rear brake pads for my 95 LE w/ ABS.

everywhere in the north america is out of stock of the project mu pads that I want. I'm using project mu pads with my 300ZX brakes in the front, and so I want some good pads to balance out the rear end as well.

I'm thinking of importing some from Asia, (since my buddy is visiting me soon from asia), I want him to bring a set of rear pads back for me.

the question now is... does anyone know of the S14 Silvia or 200SX sold everywhere else in the world ahs the same rear brakes as the 240SX here in north america? I know the front brakes are different.. they get 4-pot front brakes over there.

Thanks

Call Mackin Industries they are the exclusive importer of Project Mu in N America....they do not sell retail but can point you to a vendor that should have it in stock or send out a set to your local vendor.

562/946-6820 Eddie, Li or Steve can help you.

But if they do not have it you're SOL.

try cross checking part numbers, or call Nissan Motorsports, or Courtesy, they have answered some of my stranger questions

I'm sadly left with the question of why a domestically available pad won't do? I know it's your decision and Mu's are cool and all... but if you are actually seeking braking performance, there are much better options out there.

I buddy of mine is a "brakes" kind of guy, and for many years, he's tested out all sorts of braking systems every made under the sun. domestic as well as import, anything from pads, rotors, lines, fluids, big brakes conversions... and thousands and thousands of $ after.. his choice was the Project Mu pad and rotor combo.

I also have tried a number of brands of pads and rotors out in the market, and now I'd just like give these guys a try to see if they are THAT good... I don't swear by them thou..

thanks for all the reply guys

I didn't mean to sweat you for them. In one of my circles, I know a bunch of roadracers (SCCA, NASA, MARRS, etc.) and none of them are too keen on Mu's or Endless or the rest. They have mostly gone over to CarboTechs (street for street/autox, Panther+ for track/street), Porterfield (R4s's for street/autox), or the new Axxis Ultimates (street/autox).

At any rate, if you find them, you must write a review comparing them to other pads you have found.
