How is bumping your own thread more than twice any different than a mod making their own for sale thread a sticky?

bcs you don't run, pay, or invest in this forum even 1/1000th of how much they do.

If you want ur for sale thread to be a sticky, you need to start your own forum :).

I meant invest as in time. Run as in moderating. Pay, probably not, but time is worth money.

Funny. 2003 is when you joined! If you hate it here so much, why come back?

To address the OP's question:
I have a stickied FS thread because I can. Don't misinterpret that. I'm not trying to come off as being haughty.
I just think it's a small privilege that can be enjoyed by the administrative staff here for the time and effort given.
That means it's ok for mods too (Jeff240sx had a stickied FS thread as well at one time).

The reason behind the whole 'bumping threads' rule is simply that regardless of your threads' location in the forum, users can search and find what they're looking for. If you want something to sell fast (while it's on the first page), price it attractively. Alot of folks feel the need to bump when their thread gets off the first page because they think not many people will see it. This isn't the case, therefore we have a 'minimal bumping policy'
