I don't know if any of you remember this day, 10/10/1979, hell I myself was only 2 months and 9 days old at the time myself... All things notwithstanding, I will attempt to tell the story of this day:
Harrisburg, PA; ThatGuy Sr, a Marine (jarhead, if you will) and Mrs. ThatGuy, gave birth to a male child, they would name him Barry, after his father (original, huh?). Sometimes certain events can be seen as "breaking the mold," and the birth of this child would be one of those events. See, not long after being born, ThatGuy Jr. began to exhibit the same psycho behavior that had long since been shown as the loveable traits of his father, but this would lead to the ultimate decision that he WOULD be the baby boy, no more children would come after him (wise decision).
It is now 1998 and ThatGuy Jr. has made his decision that he will follow his father's footsteps and join the USMC at age 18, and he would go on to marry his wife, Stacy just after boot camp at age 19. Around this time, in 1999 they would be moved to New River Air Station in Jacksonville, NC.
Fast forward through the years and ThatGuy Jr, being a good man, good Marine and good husband, it is time for major life events:
June 12, 2003; Autumn, the first of his daughters (I like to call him his "little mercinaries") is born.
March, 2004; ThatGuy Jr. Becomes SERGEANT ThatGuy Jr. (round of applause)
November 10, 2004; Ella, "mercinary #2" is born.
... a third, known to me as "ThatGuy III," is due to be born on 04/20/2006, congratulations Barry & Stacy!
... let me bring this story to a close with making the very point that you could have SKIPPED the summary of someone's life story to get to:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARRY!!! (ThatGuy to those of you who don't know him)
disclaimer: I understand that there are many other Zilvians who are celebrating birthdays today, but the sad fact of the matter is that I have never met any of you in person, nor have I been to your house, having met YOUR wife and "mercinaries," so get over it.
