Think they're referring to the IR beams that detect the wheel position (for starting the timer).

AND at least she's at the track doin it right... u know... with an accord... and going backwards... LOL :D

Can't be too harsh, imagine that at a street race? prolly would've backed over some spectator.

A guy I know in a Civic did that. We all saw the reverse lights on and were like "oh... No..." The starter almost pissed himself. Still beat the car he was racing. Must be a Honda thing. Have to wind up the rubber bands.

if it was like a vw or a european car its understandible because r is rigth next to 1 but in a honda wtf?
o my first time at the track i couldnt stay on the beam because i was so excited about the launch so the guy yelled at me but my time was awesome

Did you watch the video??? She had to back up cause she was on the beam..therefore she was in reverse. She was too excited to put it back into first gear.

i watched the video so u are saying that she didnt look at which gear she was on because she was excited. and what i m saying is it is harder to tell in a european car because the shift knob looks like it is already kinda on first but in a honda the shift knob is in a totally diffrent spot

You originally implied that you dont understand how the car ended up in reverse, and i explained it to you. You implied that it was impossible for one to mistake reverse for first gear in a Honda because of the shift pattern. This compelled me to shed some light on the obvious answer. Then you replied and made it seem like your comment wasn't in relation to the video, but rather a general observation you had made. Now i am confused

at amateur drags you usually end up running next to whoever. I've raced Vettes, vipers, CRXs, and a limo before, among loads of other cars.

the worst ive ever been beaten was by a turbo diesel F350 that handed me my butt on platter. it was at least in 12's and i was driving a 16 second car. it was horrible.

You think that's bad? What about a F350 Turbo Diesel Dually that can beat my Z06. You can hear this guy's turbo spool when he's parallel parking. It's insane.
