View Full Version : Good buy on 98 240sx

I'm thinking about buying a 98 240sx but i don't know if i should buy it or not. It has 143000 miles on it. It's black and everything looks new. The only bad thing about it is that it has a little oil leak and the the front window is cracked a little, about 3 inches long. It has 300zx wheels on them but needs new tires, they look kinda worn down. It's also lowered. He wants 7000 cash. I looked it up in kelly blue book and it goes for 6900 or so. Is this a good buy or should the price be lower?

its not a bad price for a somewhat rare car. offer him 6500 cash now.

i wouldn't buy it unless you really want s14 kouki

there are way better cars you can get for less then $7000

for instance a sr swapped s13, or a FC t2 with a rebuild and some mods (and you'll still have cash leftover)

i think our cars are going up in value do u guys think so? maybe not going up atleast keeping their value

I think our cars are going up in demand, but depending on the condition its still worth peanuts.

in other words, lots of junked up 240s I've seen, yet the value is pretty high for a jacked up car.
Nonetheless, people of course don't wanna pay that steep a price so... depending on the condition some cars are exponentialy expensive and some are garbage.

actually, our car values are going down. Why wont u guys buy the kouki have for sale? I think i overpriced it. O well.

i also think they are going down...

at least out here, a 98 used to go for 10k+. 97s went for 7-8k.

If you like the car you should try to buy it between $6000-$6500. Don't pay more than that IMO though.
